I don’t really make new year’s resolutions anymore because I personally like to set resolutions for myself all year round, but I do still love setting new year’s goals. And of course I also love the number 22 so this year I thought: why not make it the best of both worlds and start setting twenty-two new goals for myself every year?? I mean, really, what could be better? π
So without further ado, here are twenty-two goals for 2021…

Learning goals
- Learn to grow beans and peas
- Learn to grow at least one winter crop
- Learn to bake sourdough bread
- Be creative and resourceful in learning to grow my garden on a tiny budget
Writing goals
- Blog through 5 more books in my “Blogging Through the Bible Challenge”
- Build up to blogging two times a month
- Build up to journaling once a week, even if only a sentence
- Finish a journal
Social goals
- Have regular online game nights with my family and best friend
- Make youngest siblings’ birthdays more special again by sending cards and/or gifts if I’m not well enough to see them in person
- Find another true friend
Health goals
- Hit 80lbs again (bonus: 85lbs)
- Celebrate little victories more often
Coloring goals
- Finish 22 coloring pages
- Paint a watercolor base for half of the pages in “Ivy & the Inky Butterfly” coloring storybook by Johanna Basford
- Start a coloring blog
Reading goals
- Log every book I read/listen to in 2021
- Read “Golden Gate Gardening” by Pam Pierce
- Read or listen to 22 books
Spiritual goal
- Meditate even more on the words of Jesus
Other goals
- Declutter the majority of my house and backyard
- Accomplish something from my bucket list
