Prismacolor Premier

Prismacolor Premier colored pencils are beloved the world over for good reason. Incredibly soft, easy to blend, and opaque, they are such a unique pencil formula!

There are downsides to these pencils, however. Their incredible opacity can create quite the learning curve for figuring out the best way to color with them. And their extreme softness makes it easy to break tips if you accidently use too much pressure, as well as results in lots of tiny pieces of color getting all over your paper, which can easily smudge and require constant erasing. Also, their quality control is not great and can lead to lots of broken cores, which can make spending so much on a pencil frustrating. But if you can work past these potential pitfalls, you might fall in love with them!

You also might develop a love/hate relationship with them, like me 😉
